GO SKATE DAY
Roots Skate park, project of 501-c3 Roots Advocates for Youth, and its volunteer committee are heading into their sixteenth year of community fundraising and recently completing an expansion of terrain located in Kapa'au, on the Big Island of Hawaii.
This local project is simply a great way to provide an exceptional and safe recreation facility for kids and their families.
We are humbly asking for your support in the form of gift certificates, products or services to raffle, or possibly SKATE GEAR , safety equipment, boards, trucks, wheels, accessories, apparel and promotional stickers/posters that can be used for contest prize packs, auctioned or raffled as prizes at our community fundraising event.
Starting at the intersection of Kynnersley and
Akoni Pule hwy and ending at Roots Skatepark
Bringing back a very fun event, “Go Skate Day Parade”presented by Roots Skate Park.
The North Kohala Hawaii Police Department will close the main highway to hold a
skateboarder parade in Kapa'au starting promptly at 10 am and road closure is lifted at 10:30
Join us as we skateboard northbound on both lanes of Akoni Pule HWY 270 as the parade will proceed to Kamehameha Park , ending at Roots Skate Park.
We will advertise on six
radio stations and four newspapers, including social media media.
Roots Skate Park committee will provide delicious local sourced food and drinks, LIVE MUSIC, an auction of donated local services, a raffle for awesome prizes, best trick contest in four divisions to provide some impressive displays of skateboardings best athletes.
